About Us

Hannah Legg established HER ENGINEERING in 2023, leveraging a distinguished career that began in 2010. Starting as a fitter machinist, Hannah quickly advanced in the field, acquiring invaluable skills as a manual machinist before evolving into a plant mechanic. This progression allowed her to develop a deep mechanical understanding of mobile equipment. Her career trajectory saw her specialize in fluid power by completing her Cert IV in Engineering, further solidifying her expertise.

Hannah’s journey continued with significant roles in notable companies. At Rixs Creek, she honed her skills on tier 1 mining equipment, which ignited a passion for hydraulic excavators. Her tenure at Kings Engineering, spanning 11 years, was marked by hands-on experience with complex machinery. Following this, Hannah joined Liebherr Mining as a field service technician, where she worked extensively on various mine sites throughout New South Wales. Her role involved managing shutdowns for Liebherr hydraulic excavators and providing technical support for the new 9600 models at Mt Pleasant.

The decision to launch HER Engineering full-time stemmed from a desire to offer specialized services that reflect Hannah’s deep-rooted passion and expertise in the industry. Since its inception, HER Engineering has provided top-tier repair and maintenance services, focusing on hydraulic excavators and mobile plant equipment from all OEM brands. Additionally, we offer machining services for parts and general maintenance across diverse equipment types, including civil and agricultural machinery.

• Swietelsky Rail: Providing mechanical and electrical labor for shutdowns, including servicing ballast cleaners, tampers, and regulators, as well as overhauling MFS wagons for the 95 ballast cleaner.
• Westrac: Offering mechanical and electrical labor with a significant focus on apprentice mentoring, ensuring the development of future industry leaders.
• Thiess: Supplying mechanical and electrical labor and parts for machining, particularly at Mt Pleasant, supporting heavy crew operations and breakdown labor.
